By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we discover that a user is under 13, we will promptly delete their account and associated data.

  • Access to quiz bowl practice questions from QB Reader
  • AI-powered question generation and performance analysis
  • PDF document processing for custom question extraction
  • Flashcard creation and spaced repetition study tools
  • Team collaboration and practice features
  • Performance analytics and progress tracking

Some features may require a premium subscription. Feature availability may change over time.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
  • Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
  • Harass, bully, or harm other users
  • Share account credentials with others
  • Use automated bots or scripts without permission
  • Circumvent any access controls or usage limits
  • Reproduce, duplicate, or resell the Service without authorization
  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights

6. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload to the Service (such as PDF documents and custom questions). By uploading content, you grant us a license to:

  • Process and store your content to provide the Service
  • Generate questions and flashcards from your uploaded materials
  • Display your content back to you through the platform

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content. Do not upload copyrighted materials without permission.

7. Subscription and Payments

Free Tier: Basic features are available at no cost with usage limits.

Premium Subscription: Additional features and higher limits are available through a paid subscription. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
  • Refunds are provided at our discretion
  • Prices may change with advance notice

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including:

  • QB Reader: For quiz bowl question content
  • OpenAI/DeepSeek: For AI-powered features
  • Stripe: For payment processing
  • Google: For optional OAuth login

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding (excluding user content and third-party content), is the property of Sigma Quotient and protected by intellectual property laws.

Quiz bowl questions accessed through the Service may be sourced from QB Reader and are subject to their terms of use.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • All content is accurate or complete
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • AI-generated content will be correct or appropriate

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIGMA QUOTIENT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

Our total liability for any claims arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months prior to the claim.

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service immediately ceases
  • We may delete your account and data
  • Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
